You don't have to go to the trouble of removing my first picture, I'm not embarassed at it, I just know I can do way better than that, and I'm embarassed to just not trying enough. I might be a bit too harsh on myself, though, I suppose you know how are those details in an awsome image that only the artist can spot and get all annoyed about. For instance, I can't find anything wrong at the first pages of your comic. :-D

Also, I'm already working on the next Dawn of time Fanart, and I'll probably have it ready in 2-3 days.

Here is the next pic. I hope you like it. I sure do! X-D I particularly like how Blue's head turned out. I used a realistic picture of a Triceratops as a reference, and cartoonyfied it a bit to make it look cuter. Looks kind of surreal with this coloring, but first we don't know what color the Triceratops was so it could as well be blue, and second, blue is my favorite color, so YAY! :-D I have to practice on shading a bit more though, but it will have to wait until I get a tablet.

Since I will go to the army for 9 months in 10 days (it's unavoidable in my country), I don't know if I'll get to make another one before I go, so it may be some time before I can draw something new. I will still be able to draw there, too, though, so Fanart will not stop coming. It will just be coming very slowly.

Nice work! The one you based this on is one of my favorite panels.

Blue is a pretty unlikely color, but it seems to be a popular color for Triceratops, if you look up "Triceratops toy" you'll find a lot of blue ones. Dawn's colors stand out against blue, so that's a practical reason for it as well (that's why she appears bigger now that you've colored it), but I think I picked it because of the toy influence more than anything else. :)

What country are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm Greek, and in Greece sooner or later every man has to go serve the army for currently 12 months (the government changes the amount of time constantly to keep up with popular opinion). Fortunately (kinda) I'll only go for 9 months because of an old injury on my knees.

As of the panel I based my drawing off, when I saw it I immediately thought it would be great for... Well, everything! When I have some more experience and I can draw better, have a tablet and get better at coloring and shading, I think I might make a new drawing of that panel, way better and Wallpaper size.

If I was better at shading, I could work a way of making Dawn not stand out as much with Blue behind her, so it would seem more natural.

And as of Blue, if I remember correctly, the Triceratops's crest was used to get mates, kind of like a Peafowl's tail, so bright colors are not unlikely, I think. Among these colors there might have been some blue, but I imagine the Triceratops way more colorful. Again, like a Peafowl. Blue is a nice color, though, and I think it's also very appropriate for Blue's character. No wonder it's used so much in toys, people just like it. As I do. :-D

Speaking of peafowl, I have also read that Triceratops fossils have been found with feather-like quills emerging from the tail, which makes me think of Triceratops hauling around a peacock or pheasant-like tail, covered in large and long feathers. It's probably not an accurate idea but I kind of like it. :)

Nothing hard yet, but rumor has it that there's a Triceratops specimen with skin impressions that show small bumps which have been interpreted as anchors for bristles. Actual tail bristles have been found on the more basal ceratopsian Psittacosaurus, however.

I'm pretty sure Dawn doesn't think she's had enough adventures yet, but I can't help wondering when she's planning to go next. If she goes back to her own time, sooner or later that bloody great asteroid's going to show up again. I'm also wondering if that business with Mantell's hat showing up at the Battle of Hastings is going to play out, or whether that was just a red herring.

Given all the weirdness that's happened so far, I wouldn't rule out seeing Dawn and Blue in outer space at some point...

Hmm... well, I guess that answers the questions from my previous post, a little sooner than anticipated. I guess we'll just have to come up with our own speculations as to what Dawn and Blue will be doing from now on. Who knows, some of us might even write or draw some of them...
