Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

Doing more prehistoric plants has always been somewhat on my mind (especially when including grass, which I understand wasn't around then) but it's an area where I don't know much! Whenever I see information on plants from the era it seems so fragmented that I don't really know what to make of it. If you know any good resources for era-specific plants I'd be interested!

Hmmm, good plant resources. Well, I know that giant tree-ferns, all other kinds of ferns pretty much, horsetail grasses, and cycads go waaaay back. Florissant Fossil National Monument and Gingko National Monument are the two places I know of that have a lot of plant fossils, but they're both Quaternery. I'll see if I can come up with something that has good pictures.

Found Dawn of Time at www.reddit.com/r/comics yesterday and just finished the archives a few minutes ago. Love the stories, art and jokes and can not wait to see more in the future!

Love Dawn and especially Blue

I've got to say I really don't remember how I can across Dawn of Time, but to be honest, the only thing that matters is how awesome it is. I read from the beginning to now and I've got to say that you've gained a follower. Everything from Dawn's facial expressions to Blue's attitude have had me laughing out loud many a times at work (yeah I know, I should be working). Please keep up the good work and maybe sometime soon you can have some artwork prints for sale.

Thanks!

Kind of sad that I just found this comic today. I really love it, it's cute and clever. Great for all dino/history nerds. I definitely have to pass this on. Please keep up the awesome work! (And I HAVE to find out if it will ever be made into book format. I'd totally love to own it~)

Hi there Michael, I'm following this comic since some time ago (btw, I know you from lurking in GHZ), and I wanted to ask you if the main story has ended or if it's going to continue after these parodies. I know it's mostly tied up, but there wasn't an express "end".

Congratulations for your great work :)

Thanks! And of course thanks to you guys I didn't reply to. @Destine, I'd like to do a book but I just don't know when it will happen--hopefully before I become a great success and look back at this as "embarrassing early work!" ;)

@BK, I am planning on a more distinct wrap-up that ends on a happier note for everybody. These parodies are actually part of the "main" story (not especially significant parts, I admit, but they are fun!) as Dawn is traveling backwards through time. Glad to know you've been reading for so long!

So the story is actually ending soon*? Awww!

*I mean "soon" as in the forseeable future.

You know, I thought at first that the kid doing the cave paintings might have been Dawn's earlier self - until I noticed that he/she didn't have the cinnamon roll hair. In any case, the paintings are clearly of mammals, which didn't exist in Dawn's time. I haven't completely ruled out the idea that the kid might be Dawn's reincarnation or somesuch, but maybe I'm just overanalysing my own overanalysis.

I would never do anything to stop speculation! However, in the interest of linking back to old comics:

http://www.dawnoftimecomics.com/index.php?id=114
Some mammals do exist in Dawn's time (also, people are mammals!)

Dawn's wall art is... we'll say "less refined."

Hello there. I just discovered this Webcomic and, from the little I have read of it, I can say I like it a lot.
Quite inexplicably, when I saw the very second page for the first time, I had a sudden irresistable urge to Fanart it! So, I immediately stopped reading, grabbed my pencil and pen, and here is the result. It's not quite as good as I expected (I can do better, I swear), but I hope you like it. :-)

Also, I tried to Register but for some reason I can't receive the activation e-mail. :-( The Username is Kain.

Thanks! I've already slipped your picture into today's update! I hope you were able to get a bit further than the second page after you finished drawing. :)

I'm not seeing any logs related to your registration over here. I'd suggest just trying again, if you'd like to be registered.

Cool! My pic at the comments of today's update! :-D

I'm both honored and kind of ashamed, though. Honored because I did not expect my Fanart to make it to the comments (essentially, the front page), but ashamed because it was not good enough a picture to satisfy me. In fact, the more I see it, the more mistakes I find, and I don't like that, since I believe that when you draw another artist's character, you have to try your best to do them justice. So, as a sorry AND a thanks, I made a new one, much better this time.

This time it's Dawn trying on Mr Mantell's hat, from the end of chapter 3 (Page 56, November 19, 2008).
I hope you like it, more than the last one.

I'm currently practicing my drawing skills, so you can expect more to come. Fanart is actually really great for practice. AND I get a chance to honor my favorite Webcomics! Two birds with one stone! :-D

Your comic is awsome, by the way. Today I've read a third of it, reaching page 115, and going. Along the way I spotted many panels that inspire me for future Fanart. :-)

On another note, I still can't seem to be able to receive the activation e-mail, even after several attempts. I tried to re-Register, but it recognises my e-mail address as "already taken". It would be nice to Register, although since I can at least post here unregistered, my activation e-mail is not a matter of utmost importance right now.

'Till next time. B-)

What a twist! That one silly page from earlier is actually significant to the plot.

Found you! Looks like it just hadn't made it through the system yet. I don't know if you received your email, but I authenticated you, at least.

If you'd like I can take that picture off the front page, but putting it up where everyone can see is what I do--plus I figured since you posted it openly to the forum it was fair game! But speaking of embarrassing, after looking at your version and then seeing mine, my old Dawn with more realistic proportions and huge, bulging eyes looked even more ridiculous than I remembered. :)

I do like this one better (but I did like the other one, too!), as long as it's ok with you I'll put it up on the next update, too. :)

Albertonykus! :D Glad to see you are still reading, too. I pop over to your DA page every now and then when I want to see adorable theropods. :) You really have a knack for making them cartoony, feathery, and believable (and appealing) all at once.
